No actually.
One Man's peace is different from another.
Because to some people, peace would be just there race, and no one else existing, as for others would think differently.
So yah, Ha
Lol.
but i am finding it really pathetic, this is sooo last year!
LITERALLY!!
LOl

Not really. If you look in the dictionary, the definition of peace won't be different for you than it is in the same dictionary for me. _________________ I hope you blow up! |

Maybe not,

would have different defintions _________________

But to a muslim, Peace would mean to either convert everyine or kill them, and that would be their peace.
And to a hindu, peace would be purity, and forgiveness.
So, see, religions like that only use the dictionary for spelling and such, as they believe their holy boook wipes out 'fact' and just to let you know, it was my Dad that pointed it out _________________

Your dad sucks then. The definition of peace is always gonna be the same no matter what religion you are. I don't think you understand that the Oxford Dictionary doesn't have branches of Peach underneath the word peace. i.e., 'Muslim: <insert>, Christian: <insert>, Rose: <insert> _________________ I hope you blow up! |

there r three main types of peace...
1. extermination of all who dissagree = peace
2. geting along with people you dissagree with = peace
3. ignoring people you dissagree with = peace
there are many otheres catagorys and sub sections. but you get my point |

Yeah, but things such as:" Freedom from quarrels and disagreement; harmonious relations: roommates living in peace with each other"
is usually reached by arguing or a war. So therefore peace isn't all it's cracked up to be.
Mankind gets on it's high horse thinking their views are correct, when NONE of them are. Mankinda likes to exterminate those that think differently. Every single human carries the aspect of a coward.
Humans create havoc and war, because they can't agree with one statement. For example, a Muslim, or whatever would believe that only Muslims can enter Paradise, because they are following the correct path. Muslims also believe that the only peace there will be is when Everyone converts to Islam so that everyone can reach paradise.
Infact it's pretty sick, because as long as you murder someone but repent you'll still get to Paradise/ Heaven.
Religion's fucked up.
But so's human kind.
Get over it.
the diefinition of peace is only true to those that believe it.
Make everyone the same, like Hitler planned to, and creating equality, adn therefore nothing to fight about, would hence forth to create peace, apparently.
You see, the way you look at peace is completley different to the rest of the world.
We all suck. We all fight. We all hate.
Get over it. _________________

Definition is still gonna be the same though, that's what I don't understand. HOW can peace be different for one person than another, when the definition of peace is still going to be the same? I believe you mean the interpretation of the word peace, not the definition, but everytime I mention that the hair on your back stands up and you start screechin' about how I'm wrong... Hell, I should care... But I just don't. I'd rather eat rainbow drops and laugh at you instead =D. _________________ I hope you blow up! |

wtf? i thought this thread was about lesbians, not debating what peace means...
and yes, peace has a definate meaning in a dictionary, but at the same time, as many others (past and present) have been right in saying, one man's peace is anothers war...
meaning that what is peaceful to one man can start a war between others.
simple really.
different peoples veiws on something can start arguments. how in the name of hell do you think most wars are actually started.
usually either religion or a woman (in the case of the trojan war lol)
back to the oh so hot subject of lesbianism... |
