He looked at her..... Luckily for her he was a good guy.... He's seen plenty of people with problems like these but not with just burning, but electricution (sp? >.>) and ice. He sighed, she was something special.... Something like him and the rest of their kind. He gave her a look of sympathy again," I'm sorry...." He said in an apologetic voice as his right hand began to glow a bright white.

He watched for a moment not sure if it worked, if he needed to use more magic, or if it was some supernatural disease. His face became serious his hands becoming unseen as the white glow became blindingly bright," Close your eyes." He said expressionless his voice showing no signs of emotion," It should go away any second now."

Aida closes her eyes, jsut wishing he would take his hand away. The burning becomes worse, her skin turning red slightly. She whimpers.

"Please... take your hand.. away... it's too much.. please..." She bursts into tears, the pain becoming too much for her to cope with. "Please... please..."

He removed his hand quickly, in shock almost at the fact it hand't worked. He straightened up going over to his back pack.... he should have some left from the last town he liberated from the coven, but he couldn't.... Ahh. There they were, he thought to himself," Okay i'm going to give you a pill. If you are truely gifted with magic like i think you are then this should bring the pain down to a more tolerable level."

He walked back over worry etching his face still. The healing he did should have worked, hopefully though the pill he would give her would have more luck," Alright , take it quick." He placed the pill in the womans hand knowing full well it would cause some pain," If you hurry and swallow the pain should leave you for the time being."

Looking down at the pill, she looks up to him, before swallowing it, hoping that this wouldn't hurt her any more than it does to move jsut a little amount. This small movement causes her skin to burn more fiercely, going a deep red colour. She starts sobbing anew at this. "Please... help me...."

She stands, feelign the pain subsiding slightly, though it never truly goes, it dies down to a bareable level as her skin returns to its normal creamy white. She sighs, sinking to the ground, looking up ot him with a word of thanks

He grinned a the girl only too glad to help. His hand went down offering to help her up, which he seemed to be doing all the time since they met," Come now, I'll help you up and then you must rest.... I'm going to have to teach you a few things so the burning doesn't kill you in our journey together, but you'll live so don't worry."

He thought about this for a moment. First the man from the last town, the only one there he trusted turned out to be an agent of evil, would this be on of those times, so soon from when he just gotten over it. He shrugged it off a smile on his face once more," and if you wake up against please just come into my tent and wake me if i'm sleeping. I'm sure i can help you out again if the situation arises.

She takes his hand, bitting her lip a little, bringing herself to her feet, making sure that she has her balance before she lets go. She smiles. "Thank you for this." She mumbles, still a little scared by him. Why is she so scared of him? He seems to be a nice guy.. but why then, does she have such a strange feelign about him? She shrugs at the unspoken, unanswered question.

"I will, Sir. But only if it's an emergency." She smiles, bowing lightly to him, before heading into her tent ans zipping it up. She curls up in the bed there, afraid to close her eyes. After what feels like hours, she is still lying awake, afraid to sleep and gets up, moving to exit the tent.

She looks up to the sky, finding that a few hours -had- in fact passed. She is nervous about going to him again, not wanting to be a burden. She thinks of takingher things and leaving to save him the hassle, though decides against it. These fields were infested with animals that could kill her easily.

Aida enters his tent, moving over to him, trying not ot wake him. Even while he was asleep, she felt safe. She kneels beside him, just watching him, wondering who and what he was. She smiles, calm now that she sees him sleeping. The woman traces a finger over his cheek, just to touch something even a little human, She smiles, laying next to him and closing her eyes. When sleep finally comes to her, she dreams of fire and shadows once more, though the hand is now a little bit older. She mutters in her sleep about the dream, her voice little more than a whisper, though the fear shines through.

The dream soon changes and it's this guy.. he's surrounded by lightning, seeming to enjoy the devastation that occurs around him, before he turns into flames and the usual dream continues...

He stayed in his tent for an hour or so thinking.... About what, one might ask, well thats simple really.... He thought of how he was going to kill the next group of Special forces he encounters in the next city. He sighed hopelessly, it was going to end the same as it always did. Hundreds would fear him because the coven could only think about exterminating all things magic, all things that had a single shred of it were condemned to death, but to use magic themselves.... He could almost laugh at the irony, needed one with magic to kill him, though it would be the only way they would have any chance. He got up before heading out into the night.

The second hour went by dreadfully slow. He thought about his hatred for mankind, why should he care if they all died and rotted under the coven's grip? He knew why and its the whole reason he's still traveling instead of hiding like the rest of his kin. he let out a loud yawn looking up at the sky the moon still high above in the cloudless night. He loved being in the dark, like his powers he seemed more alive at this time, a night person one might say. He began picking up the log where he had sat cooking the boar with ease. He grunted shifting his weight and using all his force to throw the log. He was going for his personal best and watched as it continued to soar slowly losing altitude with each passing second.

He squinted hearing the loud unmistakable loud crack from the wood. It seemed to not only crash, but shatter under the amount of force he had used to throw it. he grinned to himself as if measuring the distance in his head while he kept his body completely still. he sighed in disapointment his face grimacing at the number that had just come up in his head," Two hunder thirty." He breathed out in disapointment as he headed back to his tent.

He zipped it up not sure what to make of this day. He killed one man and befriended one who didn't even realize she was magic. How odd.... he thought to himself as he zipped up the front of the tent and pulled the covers over his head. He let out another powerful yawn as his eyes slowly began opening and closing with out his doing.... four days of continuous fighting could do that to a man. He watched the top of his tent until finally he drifted off into sleep.

His mind was a fog, not sure what was going on when he heard someone enter his tent. He didn't open his eyes, but almost immidietly his fears were lessened now feeling the girls presence in his tent. He let out an inaudible sigh as he was glad it wasn't one who would try to kill him..... hopefully. His breathing became normal once more as she aproached. He felt her fingers on his cheek and that gave him goosebumbs. He was sure he had to be dreaming nothing else made sence really. he was too tired to make heads or tails of what was going on but as soon as she layed down next to him and drifted off into slumber, so had he.

During the dreams, she shifted position, moving her arm around him. Though this was a subconscious move, she liked feeling someone close to her in these dark dreams. It made her feels safe and protected. As though nothing could harm her. But how can she feel protected by someone that strikes fear into her heart? A question that would probably never have an answer.

The fire comes toward her with deadly intent and the hand appears once more, though this time it is much older, the hand of a woman, and it os covered in blood. This makes her whimper in her sleep, though does not wake her. The dream is so alluring, she doesn't want to wake, she wants to see it through to the end. She knows that this is impossible, that when the shadows take over the world, she will awaken with a scream as she always did.

She feels the skin burning once more, though it is more powerful now, as if calling out to her in her dream. "Use me... want me.. and I will come to you.. you will not die... you will not be beaten.. jsut use me and you will be powerful once more" In her slumbering state she speaks, as if to the voice that echoes in her mind. "I have never had you.. I don't even know what you are...You try to make me fear you.. why?"

As if in response, the fiery voice speaks to her. "I do not wish for you to fear me. Just use me as you did as a child. A very young child. Your parents thought that if they never told you, then you would never know. But I have other ideas. You will use me, Aida. Believe me. When the time comes, you will call on me once more. Until then, notice the burning. That burning is me calling out to you. That burning is me."

She lets out a scream of terror, gripping anything she is holding, needing the comfort of something against herself. She bursts into tears, confused and scared of what she had just been doing and saying. She sobs as the burning increases, but doesn't move her arm from around him. She needed someone human to hold on to, just to keep her sane. Thouhg... was he human? She remembers the camp appearing, and holds him tighter to her chest, sobbing a little more at this, afraid, worried... and feeling more alone than she had ever done in her whole life....

He lays there still in his, well it would be half sleep since he never truely had the luxury of forgetting his surroundings even at a time when he would like it the most. The world around him was blur when he tried to think about it, and with her around he was constantly trying to keep himself alert and ready. He let out a yawn his eyes opening slowly as he looked down at the odd girl.

He watched her for a couple of hours, not able to really sleep. The voices in his head, of which each had their own opinion about what he should do with the situation seemed to try and speak over one another. He winced hating the fact he had to deal with this and quieted them down almost immideatly when they became a nuisance. He watched a little startled at what happened the very next instant.

He was completely dumb struck, never in his life had anyone slept remotely close yet alone the same tent as himself. He had gotten over that due mostly to the fact he was to exhausted to care. He looked at her for a moment examining her while she spoke to herself. Odd, crazy, or just plain out wierd? he wasn't sure but it was about to make itself from unsure what the situation was to just plain akward.

He had the startled look on his face as she gripped tightly onto him. He watched her as she began to sob.... He wasn't sure what to say or do really, but as he continued to think her grip became tighter which seemed to alarm him. He was worried, sympathetic, and plain out dying from being practically crushed by the womans grip," Are you okay?" He said in a calm voice his hand reaching down to his bag pulling out another pill just incase it would be needed his eyes watching her carefully.

She feels the burning immdeiately, completely unaware that she had spoken out in her sleep. She looks to him, realising that she had her arm around him. She pulls away rapidly, alarmed, before readjusting.

"Yes. I'm...I'm okay..." She wipes her tears away, getting up, her skin a little more red than it should be. She walks to the opening of the tent, peeking out. Aida shivers, closing it back up and heading to sit next to him.

"I'm.. sorry.." She says. "I don't know what's happening to me. I'm so hot, yet so cold all at once, and the voice.. oh Lord the voice..." She shivers, wrapping her arms around herself, painfully aware that she was barely dressed and sitting alone in a tent with someone she had only met the day before. Was she going crazy?

He sits up yawning loudly once more the pill in his hand lazily rolling around in it. He knew the pains of magic first hand, and if the pills already worn off that means he needs to get her to a friend in the next village soon. He gets up stretching slightly," We need to start heading out." he began walking over to her and slipping the pill into her hand," I have a friend who should be able to help you with this in the next town, can't be more then a day away now."

He nodded steeping outside. It was the butt crack of dawn and he inhaled slightly," Take that to feel better dear and tonight i'll have my friend stop the burning if he has the knowledge." He yawned looking at her," Head to your tent and get dressed we got to head to a train station not far from here, it should be the easiest way then walking by foot. To many soldiers patrolling the area." He headed back into his tent zipping it up quickly as he pulled the military uniform back on.... He didn't like where this was going to head but he let out a deep sigh knowing there was no alternative.

Aida finds herself alone once more. She sighs, sitting on the bed, tears silently sliding down her cheeks, before getting up and dressing in a black and lime-green corset, black jeans and black, heeled boots. She pulls her hair back into a tight tail at the top of her head. Well, she seemed this would have to do.

She walks out of the tent, trying to look cheery, then remembers the pill. She swallows it easily, though the burning had quietened down a little. She wanted to keep it at bay.

Sitting down beside what once was the fire, she drains the bottle of water that she had brought with her and sets it back down, silently. She looks into the embers wondering where this would go and what she would do when he decided that he'd had enough of being around her.

He inhaled sharply.... Finally alone, he let the shadow he cast vanish, to do what it pleased until he needed it once more. He gave it strict rules, dark beings having tooken control of most of it long ago. He looked up at the scrolls his hands coming out as one zoomed toward him. The rest seemed to burst into flame with his thought, though really he just sent them back to where he stored them. He smiled slightly feeling the military grade armor clenching to his skin as he unzipped the tent once more.

"Okay, we are going to be heading west from here, the train station should be about an hour away." He looked at her for a moment a smile on his face," Then we can eat some real food and sleep in actual beds." He nodded to himself," but first.... Clean up time!" he announce rather cheerfully as his hands pointed toward the two tents. He concentrated as hard as he could willing the tent and the objects inside to burst into flames and to return from whence he brought them.

He let out a sigh, having only used the one tent and not expecting it to cause so much effort on his part. He let his smile come back to him as he headed westward a large smoke cloud off in the distance as he looked back," better hurry up!" he called out laughing a little," Don't want to get left behind and eaten by the beasts that haunt this place do ya?"

When she looks up, it is a sluggish movement, as though she wasn't really bothered about looking to him. She nods. "Alright." She stands, slinging her bag over her shoulder. She spins to face him once more.

"Where are you taking me?" She asks, her voice is full of worry. "I don't know you and you're taking me around everywhere. Are you looking to hurt me? To help me?" She doesn't want to voice these questions, though they come to the surface without a second thought. She looks horrified as she says this.

"I'm so sorry! I don't know where that came from." She bites her lip a little, her eyes apologetic in every way.

Was he going to help her or hurt her? he could of laughed at the question, but he knew she was serious. She was wise to be worried.... he was a dangerous man and nothing looked certain about what he was planning on doing now.

He talked to her, his body still facing away from her," We are going to a town. Its an average quaint little town, Should be able to blend in specially with this uniform." He tapped his fingers to the armor," Coven won't look twice at us, and i can get you to a man of vast knowledge who i'm sure can help you." He stopped for a moment having forgotten to answer her other question," Well dear, what do you think? Am i here to hurt you? Wouldn't i have done it by now since i'm obviously much more powerful?" He laughed loudly as he started off once more.

She frowns deeply at his last words, something seemed to have sparked deep within her. She looks down to find her hands burning, literally on fire, and yells out ,ehr anger seeming to have been forgotten. She tries to put out the flames that lick at her fingers and wrists as though she could feel her skin melting away. though strangely enough, it wasn't harming her.

Aida stands up, coming up behind him and reaching out for his shoulder, curious. The flames shoot from her fingers, right for his shoulder. She gasps, lurching forwards, trying to stop them. She falls, crashing forwards into him as the fire around her hands continue to burn, before completely vanishing as though it was never there. She hears laughing ringing in her ears...

He continued walking forward, his mind up in the clouds like it usually was, until something pulled him away from his moving and thought..... Fire, fire shot onto his shoulder and ignited it. How, he had an idea and looked back seeing her stumbling now as she reached out toward the flames. He looked suprised as she tackled him attempting to get rid of the fire herself, causing them both to fall over.

He closed his eyes flames came toward him from her hand..... it didn't, and couldn't hurt him but still it was just shocking to see the woman who had made him so curious practically light on fire. He let out a slight laugh as he looked at the girl," Mind not being insane long enough for us to get to the train?" he said getting up and brushing himself up. He picked her up, whether she liked it or not and continued to walk forward," Oh, and don't burn down the train when we are on it okay?"

She blinks, slightly confused, though feeling somewhat more alive than she did before. "Was that really me?" She smiles, the flash of the hand coming before her eyes. "That was MY hand!" She exclaims, beaming. She catches up with him, looking up to him, grinning.

"I bet you knew, didn't you? You knew what would happen!" She smirks. "Come on you can let me in on the secret, and thank you by the way. For keeping me comfortable and safe last night. I jsut had to have someone close, y'know? I'm sorry if it offended you, I really am."

He lets out a hearty laugh at the girl as he continues to walk, her by his side," Well now, looks like you are going to need to learn how to control that? Good thing i'm taking you to someone who takes pyromancy to the whole next level." He left out mentioning that most people with magic had two sides.... Like his necromancy and healing abilities. He continued to walk before she started to talk again.

" Knew what now?" He said in his most innocent tone," All i knew is that you looked like you need to cool off..... so i gave you a chill pill." He laughed at his own bad joke as they reached the top of a hill. He pointed down at the large train below," This should get us there in no time flat, then we can meet my old friend and he can show you true magic." He nodded as he started to roll down the hill.... Yes childish!?!?!?, but it was his one weakness when he wasn't fighting for his life.

The woman laughs, watching him roll down the hill, never imagining that he would do that in a million years. She walks down happily. before slipping o nthe grass and falling down the hill, laughing as she goes. As she nears the bottom she calls out: "Better move, or get squashed."

She can't believe how much more relaxed she feels now that she had discovered what the dream was. She can't remember when she was last this happy or at peace with the world. Her only thing that was left to do, was to truly find out who her travelling companion was and what he wanted with her

He continued to roll. He let out a slight laugh half way down at the woman, who didn't follow suit and roll as well. He continued down thinking about more serious things though, like what he was going to do once they get into town.... It would be infested with coven waiting to find one such as himself, and even the train could have them.... That would be bad, very bad indeed.

He reached the bottom and stood up, he was very dizy.... he had full controll over the magic forces at hand and he couldn't stop the dizyness. He let out a sigh still spinning around as he standed up. He heard her words to late as she came tumbling down at him. He let out a grunt falling to the ground with an "oomph" as he hit the ground with a slight smile on his face once more.

Aida is laughing as she rolls, completely enjoying the simple, cchildish impulses running through her, she reaches the bottom, feeling herself crash into him and giggles. When they stop, she finds herself laying on him.

She tilts her head. "Now this is getting serious. Last night and now this... things aren't going well." She laughs, mocing to get up, the grin still dancing across her ruby lips

He grinned at the girl, something just seemed to make him enjoy her company. It was probably because he was always alone, on the run, or killing someone who couldn't understand him.... Would she be the same once she saw him use his magic. He hoped not but began to laugh," Okay now get off." He said as the magic lifted her into the air and onto her feet.

He got up himself dusting his armor casually as he looked at the girl," We better hurry, the train will be leaving soon." He said as he began walking fast toward the train which was about less then a mile or so away," Oh, and like i said don't use that fire on the train. Last thing we need is you to stick out like a sore thumb!"

She sighs, had been thinking that he would laugh with her, but no. She was wrong. He looked like an official guy, so why would he bother playing around with some random girl that comes out of nowhere.

"Yes, Sir." She says weakly, moving to catch up with him. "And I won't, don't worry." She keeps her eyes fixed o nthe train, hoping he wouldn't abandon her like her birth parents had that night.

That night was the worst of her life. Six years old and left with a strange family who made her cook and clewan, only to be given bread and water to survive on, along with the other kids hand-me-down clothes. No wonder he didn't want to joke with her. She was nothing more than a slave girl wit ha new found ability. Like it mattered in the least. She keeps quiet, ruby eyes focused upon the train as she keeps in pace with him, only moving to keep walking and occasionally pulling the bag back onto her shoulder properly...

For the next hour things remained quiet between the two.... It was rather odd, as seeing how he had failed to laugh earlier. He scratched the back of his neck, inbetween the armor as he let out a sigh. They had finally reached the trainstation and to his great fear, it was crawling with coven soldiers.

He stopped before they made it to the front entrace, the place almost completely empty. He turned to her his face serious as he leaned down and whispered into her ear," Liste closely..... Those men with the guns and masks, they are evil. I know i look like them, but i'm the good guy here and i need you to not say or do anything. Just let me do the talking and we'll be fine." He then started walking again heading into the entrance of the train station.

She simple shrugs and follows him, looking around and wondering what was going on and why there were so many guards, not really caring if he was evil or not. If he was going to kill her, he had had many opportunities over the last 12 hours, so she shrugs and carries on, keeping pace with him easily

He walked toward the train, he didn't stop for a ticket, and he didn't stop for any of the other guards. He knew what they were all thinking and it infuriated him a little bit. The coven, god's tools against the evil magic. Magic they say was gifted to the world by lucifer after he fell in order to spread his rule. He had to calm himself.... He wasn't going to put her life in jeapordy because he couldn't keep his cool.

He stepped up the platform and looked at the masked guard. He stared at the man in the mask for what seemed like an eternity for him until finally they were given clearance. Everything seemed to be working out, he thought to himself..... Now we just need to make it to the town and we will be same, among friends. He grinned at the idea of seeing them all again as slowly he heard the train start, picking up pace in a matter of seconds.

She sits down on the train, rummaging through the bag for her diary. She had neglected it last night. She pulls out a pen and begins to write all that had happened in small neat letters. She smiles as she writes down everything, the dream, waking up beside him, the hill, right up until this moment in time. When she finishes, it goes back inside the bag and she tirns to the window.

How Aida loved seeing the country like this. IT was amazing to one that had never seen it before in her life. She sighs, happily, resting her forehead against the cold glass, closing her eyes as the train moves, not caring where they were going, so long as it took her far away from her old life...

He sat there watching the doors to the other carts.... He couldn't let her out of his site on this train, to many of those monsters called Special forces to let down his guard even the slightest. He let out a soft yawn turning toward her a slight smile on his face from her expression. The smile was short lived though....

The cart door slid open, Several of the miltary forces walked in, all of the special forces. They all had the armor Dark was wearing now, and all of them had masks. He cursed at his luck looking up at them as they came down. It wasn't obvious at fisrt but finally he realized they were coming toward his seat, and their weapons were loaded.

He kept his face calm as he looked up at the lead man. He looked back at him and gave him a salute. He could of sighed in relief if it wouldn't give himself away, so he slowly stood up and returned the salute. A plastic smile spread on his lips as he looked toward the man who he was about to adress," What can i do for you fine soldiers?" He asked the lead man. The mans voice sounded like it was coming from over the radio as he replied," Nothing comander, Just reporting in since you are the highest ranking official on this train. Though we know your mission, we can't help but offer our assistance."

He smiled at the man," No need soldier, I'll keep you posted. We are heading toward the town to dispatch our targets." The man infront of him nods slightly," Sir, requesting permission to have a break..... And enjoy the company of her." He pointed to Aida. His eyes glared a little knowing full well what he meant," No soldier, she's with me and an asset. Your request is denied.

She turns to the others as she hears the door open, hoping that her ruby eyes would not give them away. She smiles as they come near and is slightly confused as he speaks as though he is one of them.

A terrible thought flashes across her mind. What if he -was- one of them? Then again hadn't he jsut refused the other guy to 'spend time with her'? She knew what that meant all too well and began to shake, fearful. After all, she was pure. Had never been touched. Not even kissed by a loving parent.

Aida bites her bottom lip, turning her gaze upward before she stands beside her companion. "Does he want me... like that?" She asks, her voice shaking...
