Mercades smiled softly.
"Your not gonna lose me.. I wont let you..." She said smiling.
She kissed his chest softly.
She loved leaning against his chest, she felt that much physically closer to his heart.

Downstairs a stranger lurked in the house.
A tall dark fugure stirred within the silence.
He looked around the houise searchign for the presence of anyone.
His black sutied outfit, and black goaty gave him an ambiguous but evil feeling. "So this is where they are hiding.." He sniggered.

Mercades smiled- Pulling away from Dark's loving warmth. She ran her fingers gently over his chest again. feeling his smooth skin under her pale gentle touch.
She loved Dark when he was in a mood like this, however rare the occasion was, and she felt like she couldnt be away from him for too long.
"Anyways- didnt I hear you promiss to cook?" She laughed teasingly running out the room, wanting him to follow her. Mercades ran down the stairs giggling happily, as she jumped teh last two steps.
*I cant remember the last time I laughed this much with Dark* She thought to herself.

The demonic male stood, his short spiked hair adding to the effect of his dark illusion, listening.
He could hear Mercades giggling laughter.
He thought quickly to himself.
"Theres noway I'm letting go of an opputinuity like this!" He said in a deep rough voice.

He wuickly Shapeshifted into a lamp on the side unit and watched her as she went past.
Her long hair flowing behind her.
*What a nice little love nest they have here.. Its going to be a shame when I rip them all apart and paint the walls red with their blood*
He thoguht to himself as he watched her.

Dark jumped down the stairs and smiled, as he saw her long hair fly into the kitchen.
"Mercades! Get here, little missy!" He laughed, playfully.
As soon as he turned the corner, by the lamp, he felt something was wrong, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.
"Okay, so what do you want for breakfast, sweetheart?" He smiled to himself, loving that they were so close once again.
He couldn't think, for the life of him, why he had this feeling of intrusion. He pushed it to the back of hismind for now.
But, what was wrong??
He followed her into the kitchen and put his strong arms around her.
"You can't escape me forever, my sweet." He joked. "I love you, so much." He kissed her, gently...

Mercades smiled.
"Did I ever say I was trying to escape?" She asked sweetly.
She stepped up on her tiptoes, and opened the cupboards.
"Hmmm." She hummed indecisivly.
"Can't you just suprise me? Your good at that." Mercades laughed.
She loved the feel of his warm strong arms around her.
She felt them around her waist as she stretched up into the cupboard.
She felt their warm touch almost sensual.

Mercades looked in all the differnt cupboards.
"I want something sweet." She requested.
Her blonde hiar looked longer as she looked up.
Her blue eyes checked all the cans.

She smiled.
Kissed him gently on teh cheeck.
Then brushed passed him gently.
She ran into the living room.
The lamp watched her. Completely harmless.
She sat on the sette and pulled a cushion up tight to her chest and snuggled into it.
The lamp shifted into its human form, silently behind the settee.
It crept behind the settee.
No sound ever came from the footsteps.
Mercades oblivously sat her eyes closed as she imagined Dark, she felt like she missed him even though he was only in the other room.
He came from behind her and put his hand over her mouth.

"You make the slightest sound I will go in there and I will slice him into so many pieces. I will make you watch and I'll force feed you every single piece." He threatened violently.
He shimmered.
The pair stood now infront of the window.
He conjured a blade into his hand.
And made a cut across her chest, just below her neck.
He grabbed her hiar and pulled it back sharply.
She didnt make a sound but whinced as he pulled.
He dragged his tongue slowly across the cut.
Smiling as the blood touched his tongue.

Mercades' skin crawled as his tongue took the blood from the wound.
"Now, I am going to kill you." he promissed her.
"But right now... I want him to come in.. I wnt to kil you with him watching." He smirked.
"But I promiss.. Im not goign to killl him if you call him in here and let him watch me kill you...".

Mercades considered the consiquences.
*There is no way that he will keep his word.. But.. what if he does?* she thought.
Mercades cringed.
"Dark..." She called in a calmish tone.

"Good..." He smiled.
"I wonder if Dark will remember me?" He smiled with great amusement.

Mercades looked up at his face.
His dark hiar reminded her of Dark's.
His smile even had certain traits of Dark.
She looked at his eyes...
her eyes windened.
*Some realtion of Dark's?!??* She asked herself in panic.
*Could it really be?!?!*

Dark heard her call.
He smiled softly as he imagined her face, calm, cool, loving.
"What is it, Mercades?" He called back, as he pulled a sauce pan from out of the bottom cupboard and laying it gently on the hob, while he filled a jug with water and put it into the sauce pan. He let it simmer, while he filled the bowl with warm water, so he could wash the dishes as he was going along.
His hair was still a mess, and he only had his jeans on, his chest was bare, and perceptive to the cold. But it was a very warm day outside, so he flung open the back door.
"What's the matter?" He called, again. Paying more attention for her answer this time.

Her voice started to sound more destressed now.
He pulled her hiar to make her talk.
"I need you to come here... OW!!" She screamed.
There was a crash as she squirmed and he pulle dher hair.
He threw her into the wooden table, knocking it and a vase of flowers over.
He growled.
"I'll see you around!" He said in a voice that sent chills up Mercades spine.
She lay on teh floor, the small table stand kncoked over.
The vase was shattered on the floor.
The water was spilt everywhere.
Mercades pulled her hand up to forhead, adn looked at her red stained hand.
She had cut her head slightly.
"Dark!!" She squealed, in destress.
Tears welling up in her eyes.

Dark ran in.
"What is it?!" He yelled.
He then, noticed her on the ground.
"What happened... I remember someting like this happenening many, many years ago... I just can't remember who, or what, it was."
He said, this, thinking.
He ran to her and conjured a cloth into his hand, he held it to Mercades' wound.

Mercades taouched his hand, as it hurt when the cloth touched her.
"He.. He.." She stuttered, as tears began to rain down from her eyes.
"I'm so sorry.." She finally got out.
"I should have known how to deal with ti.. But I just.. Didn't..." She tried to explain.
"But he looked.. " She stopped and thought.
"he looked.. Kinda.. like you?" She told him in a questioning tone.
She lept into his arms as she began to cry.
She hated it when she felt she couldnt even look after herself.
"I'm so sorry Dark.." She sobbed softly, on his bare skin.

Dark's blood ran cold, his face paled, his heart began to beat faster, he felt as if Mercades would be able to feel it.
"No..." He whispered. "It can't be.... not here.... please... anything but that... anything but him.....no... please... I'll do anything.... don'ty tell me that he had dark hair, and a smiled that mimicks mine..." He pleaded with her, fear boiling in his voice........

She looked at him worried.
"Yes..." Her eye were honest.
"Exactly." She promissed.
She hugged him tight.
She could feel his heart beating faster.
"It almost lokoed like a realitive.. "She remarked.
Her blonde hiar fell around her face.
"Dark.. what's wrong?" She asked.
She tried to stand up and stopped, whincing and fell to the floor again, holding her chest.
"Ow...." She nursed her chest where he had dragged the blade.
She held it in pain.
It felt like a child.. incapable.

Dark's face was deathly white.
"No..... he said he'd never return... but what's-what's he doing here?"
Who could put so much fear into Dark? No one had intimidated him like this, since he was a child, a long, long time ago...

She looked at him, confusedly.
"Who is he, Dark?" She asked, wanting to know.
He shimmered in, behind Mercades, against the back wall.
Ready to shimmer out at the slightest movement.
"hehe.. renember me Dark.." He laughed.
"Well I'm gogin to be payign you a visit from time to time.. " He laughed.
"Don't worry it wont hurt.. for long." He promissed srcastically.

Mercades turned around.
As she did he shimmered out.
She looked confused.
She hadn't heard him speak.

"No. We never liked each other from the day we were born. That's right we're twins. He's the oldest by 7 minuites. He's not let me forget it in 19 years. He's always been the only one I ever feared. It's just everything about him. He has to beat everyone at everything. Especially me. When we were kids, when we had no powers. He used to beat me up so badly, I ended up in hospital with the injuries. He ruined my life. I've treid so hard to forget him, but he always came back to me when I didn't need him to. He always said he'd torment me forever."
Dark wrapped his arms around Mercades, he was shaking badly.
"But the day I left was the worst. We both had our powers. We got into a furious battle. It was like we'd been training for that battle our entire lives. It was our birthday. He got a better weapon than me. He kept gloating, so I threw an energy ball at him, trying to shut him up, but it all began then. He threw one back. Mom and Dad were there. He didn't care who he killed, as long as I eventually got killed. So, on raged our battle. I threw a high-voltage energy ball towards him, it was enough to kill. He dodged it. It hit my Father. He was killed instantly. Then, my brother was so outraged, that I'd killed the one person he could train with, he threw one back at me. It was off-aim and hit our mother. She died, then too. Basically, I'd killed both my parents, moments after each other. Then, I got angry. I lunged at him with my sword and caught his shoulder, blood went everywhere. I was frozen with shock at what I had done. I couldn't believe it. While I was trying to get over the shock, he launched a fire-ball at me. It hit me in the back. Luckily, it didn't harm me long term, except it gave me a temper more than any ever known to mankind. I did that! It was my fault. So, when I recovered from my shock, I threw a fire ball at him, but I was too late. He'd gone. All that was left of him was an echo of his voice saying: 'Just you wait, Dark...' I can never forget the malice in those words. The thing is: It was all my fault. I did that. I created the rift between us. I created my own worst enemy, just as Tyrants everywhere do. It was my fault!"
Dark looked around the room.
"It's all my fault..." He whispered, quietly....

She loked at Dark closely as he held her in his arms.
"It's not your fault." She whispered in his ear.
"It was out of your control" She continued to whisper in a soft soothing voice.
She smiled, as she nuzzled her head in his neck.
Kissing his skin softly.
"It wasn't your fault." She whispered once more.
She smiled.
"Don't think that way." She requested.
"The Dark I know, is stronger than that... He's still a demon.. But You.. You have a home and a wif-" She stopped.
"And a girlfriend." She corrected herself.
"You having things he could never have." She told him in whispers.

"The can destroy your house, andhe can make your life a living hell.. untilyou cant bare to look forward at te future and it hurts so bad to loko back at the past.. all you have to do is look beside you.. Cus I'll be there... And nothign can take me away." She promised sweetly.
Sealing it with a kiss.
She whinced as he touched her chest.
"It doesn't matter what he did.." She said looking down at teh floor..

She stood up.
And walked into the kitchen.
It was clear she was very upset by what he had said.
She stayed silent.
And just lef the room.

He realised what he had said sounded harsh to Mercades, but, deep in his heart, he knew it to be true.
He would have to face his brother eventually... he would have to face his gratest fear in the end, he knew it, and he didn't like it.
For all these years, he'd come to think that his brother would never return, but for him to come back now, of all times.... wasn't that punishment enough?
Dark stood up, went over to the window and stared out of it for a very long time.
He knew this would happen. He knew that his brother had already caused a lot of damage.
*What's next?*
