Not everything is as dark as it seems....

"I'll try," she said loking at the desperation on Dark's face, she couldnt help but feel his pain as his tears rolled down and she felt tehm mirrored on her own face, she knelt down to Chris, and took his han and marked a pentagram on Chris's head she smiled as her head fell back and a flower appeared above her forehead a bright white flower bloomed and beauitful another flower slowly appeared on Chrises head a wilting flower the leaves brown and tatty the petal torn and charred she held his hand and as a jolt of energy shot throw her the flower on Mercades head closed up and a glowing mattter came from it and went to Chris's wilted flower and dew life into it until it opened up again to a regular flower, and Mercades flower looked less healthy, he head fell forward so hr chin was on her chest her eyes closed as she let go of CHris's hand and fell backwards as her energy was transfered to Chris.

Dark jumped forwards and caught her before she fell onto the floor and hurt herself.
"Mercades? MERCADES! Chris!"
"D-D-Dark? Is that you? What happened?"
Dark explained.
"So I owe Mercades my life?"
"Yes. If she dies because of you I'll kill myself!"
"No." Chris said, softly. "You can't! I love you!"
"Well I don-" Chris sat up and kissed Dark on the lips.
Dark pulled away, looking satisfied.
"What was that for?" He asked.
"Because I love you!"
"I-I-I don't know............"

Mercades heart felt tight her chest raised violently as she coudlnt breathe her body craved the oxygen all around her but her body didnt respond, her heart pumped furiously as she didnt breathe. Her body begged for the air but her mouth didnt onpen to retreive any.

Her heart took the air that Dark produced and calmed own as the blood began to move and nad her lungs filled withthe sweet oxygen that Dark had delivered to her right in time, after a couple of beats Mercades opened her eyes and her body settled, she looked at dark a look of thankful ness on her ace as she realised what had happened slwoly..

"Hey!" He said softly. He bent down and kissed her on the cheek.
Chris pulled his head towards him and kissed him upside down.
"Get off me you maniac!" Dark brought his fist up to meet Chris' nose. It began to pour with blood. It splattered onto Dark's face.
"Stop trying to get back with me!"
"Bud I love you, Dark. will dat ever be redurned?"
"No. It won't. Sorry but I have to go. You coming, Mercades?"
"No! Don'd go!" He pulled a gun out of his pocket and grabbed Dark round the neck and pulled him close to his chest and put the gun to his head.
"Bove and I'll shood!!" He yelled through the blood.
Dark seemed oddly rlaxed, but his eyes were slits of fury. His right hand moved and in it was a burning energy ball.

Mercaes eye looked at the pair blurily, she knew what wa sin Dark's hand but she couldnt tell which one was which throug her blury eyes as sthe blood flowed thrug her veins her vision slowly returning to normal, "Chirs no..." She said as her vision returned, "If your gonna take your anger out on somebody take it on someoen else, not Dark!" She said remaining still as not to provoke his trigger happy anger.

"You'll never have hib! He is bine! I love hib! SINCE YOU HAVE BEEN AROUND HE HATES BE, IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!!!!!" He pushed Dark away from his with huge force. He hit the ground and felt his arm break. No sound of pain escaped him.
Chris grabbed the nearby officer and pulled the trigger. His brains flew everywhere.
"YOU SEE? THIS ISN'T A GAME, MERCADES! THIS IS REAL LIFE!" He looked at Dark. Walked over to him and put his hand down his trousers.
"Get off me!" Dark couldn't move. His arm was broken and his other one was holding the enerhy ball. He didn't want to use it but, if the worst came to the worst, he would have to.

Mercades lost her temper, "your right this isnt a game! So get off him! Get out of here go! Go blow your own brains out insitead of wasting everyone elses time here! Your no one and you never wil be!" She said she she fle and tackled him awawy from Dark. Her long blonde hiar flowing behind her as she grappled with him on teh floor, trying to get teh gun otu of his hand.

Mercades stopped struggling as Chris's body went limp below her, she pulled off of him and crawled over to Dark, she looked at his arm and touched the skin gently, and looked up at his face. "I wish i could heal you... But... i can't i gave my energy to Chris its sort of the catch i can d oit but only with my enregy..." She looked at him, just happy that he was ok, she lokoed back at chris and loke dhis body over for damage, she noticed the gun still in his hand, she crawled back over slowly. Watching his face for even the slightest movement as she reached slowly for the gun.

She pulled his Phone from his pocket and flipped it open and nervously answered "Hello?" quietly. She held out her other hand to him to help him up.

"Well, I slept with him last night and have been doing every night for the last week or so. But last night I left before he woke up. I just wanted to apologise, and ask him if he was up for it again tonight." She explained.
Dark cleaned up his hair with his right hand.

Mercades stoppe dher mouth slightly open, she handed the phone to Dark, tears stung her eyes, "It's for you." She said loking at Dark hoping the tears in her eyes werent noticable.

She looked up at the tears rained from the corners of her eyes as she began to cry, "Just forgot..." She said repeating what he had say, "So it was just that easy to 'forget' me was it..." She said lokin now down at the floor. She looked at Chris and almost felt the pain of his heart as much as she must have caused him by taking Dark away."I'm so sorry chris..." She said walking over to him, and kising him gently on teh forehead.

He was fuming when he eventually arrived home.
"Dark? You in sweetie?"
"Suppose so, you stupid idiot!"
"Don't talk to your mother that way! I'm coming up!"
"No! It's okay. Leave me alone! I don't want to see anyone! Leave me alone!"
He fell onto his bed and began crying.
"What have I done? My last chance and I blew it: again! Why did I have to get her to answer the phone? You-" He got up and punched the wall. "-stupid-" He punched it again. "prick!" He punched it again.
Then he felt the pain in his heart as well as in his bleeding knuckles.
He wrapped himself up in his jacket, then threw himself onto his bed again. He lay there for half an hour, crying.
He couldn't believe how much he was hurting deep inside.
"Why did I do that?" He repeated over and over.
This must have been how Mercades felt: like her heart had been riped out and cut into tiny pieces then a knife stabbing into her and twisted. The pain was endless and he just cried and cried and cried.

Mercades sat next to Chrsi in the the crime seen, she knew he would coem around soon she left the scene it soon became unfrozen. She was back in teh feild where it had all begun she sat on the bench her head rested on the the top her long blonde hiar becoming wet ith her own tears, she couldnt belive he had changed so much, "I hope he's happy..." She said, not nastily but sincerely... as she bagan smiling, "He has moved on." she said quietly. She loked up and drie her eyes and even though she smiled her unseen scared on her heart hurt and she felt it deep inside her chest.
She stood up, but the pain was almost physical and she had to sit back down she put her hand on her chest and her hair draped over and around her face as her tears srunk from her eyes again.

His mobile rang.
"WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LEAVE ME ALONE?" He yelled down the phone. "DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND I WAN'T TO BE ALONE?!"
The voice on the phone was calm.
Dark spoke quietly now.
"No. You've ruined everything I've ever had. No. Leave me alone. You didn't even know what you were doing. Leave me alone. Get lost! YOU ARE WORTH NOTHING!" He hung up, and threw the phone into the wall, where it landed softly onto the bean-bag chair at the other side of the room.

Mercades picked up her phone and began to dial Dark's number she called it and awaited an answer she had to tell him that it was ok that he had moved on and that the least that could happen was that they could stay friends.
She waited patiently as the phone began to ring.
